In year 1986, mimeograph equipment were typically replaced simply by digital copiers in elementary schools. Those of us teachers that experienced using mimeograph equipment will forever remember the distinct smell of typically the still-damp, purple-ink worksheets of which we handed out to our students - simply by the ream full. When you're like me, you can remember that smell right now! Then along came digital copiers and the purple-ink mimeograph machine disappeared. So what is the base line? Are worksheets the serious teaching tool or perhaps an over-used type of occupied work? The answer, of course , is both.
